Programs and projects approved or under execution
The GCF only accepts proposals related to mitigation or adaptation (or both) to climate change. Likewise, within each of these areas there are several specific lines to prepare such proposals.
Profonanpe executes programs and projects in its fields of experience and that fall within its main activity areas, namely conservation of biodiversity, and mitigation and adaptation to climate change. They must also be aligned to its mission and institutional vision.
The project proposals that may be submitted to the GCF through Profonanpe should be frame under the following impact areas:
- To reduce emissions from deforestation and degradation of forests and soil
- To increase resilience of livelihoods of the most vulnerable people, communities and regions
- To increase resilience of health and well-being, and food and water security
- To increase resilience of ecosystems and ecosystem services
